Bailey’s Gotcha Day = Valentine’s Day 2017

The sun is speaking through the window. I hear Randy breathing steadily. I also hear a little jingle to my right, a yawn, then a hop out of the bed onto the floor. Someone is awake and doing the morning shaking off and stretching routine. (I have decided if I would do the same routine, I would be a few inches taller :-)

He peeks up at the bed to see if his people are awake and requesting visitors. Once he is welcomed up on the bed, he hops on up and snuggles on top of or between us. Kisses are on the agenda next - but only for me. He knows Dad is not a fan. He will stay there as long as we do. Then potty time and breakfast!

The new little one has been with us since September 28, 2016. Bailey is a nine year old Italian Greyhound from KY. He lived there with his family since he was just a pup. Mom and Dad split and Bailey needed a place to call home. MidAtlantic Italian Greyhound Rescue came to his aid and placed him in a wonderful foster home. Unfortunately, the foster folks had a family emergency and Bailey needed a new foster home.

Randy and I have been fostering for MAIGR for a few years. Our first dog, Sophie, came from them via CT. She graced our home for over 14 years. Before she passed away, we decided to try fostering and just were so blessed by these little ones.

Coming to us, Bailey was quiet and a bit lethargic. Over the months, he has found energy and his voice - such a sweet little bark! He knows how to tell time - lunch is at noon and dinner is at 5pm on the dot.
